Course Description

This course introduces students to security settings and requirements of Linux and Windows-based systems and web services. It also introduces students to Linux and Windows-based web services, including methods of configuring, testing the security and the implementing of countermeasures to discover vulnerabilities. Topics include Linux security settings, IP tables, securing IIS web service, securing Apache web service, access control methods and host auditing and tools.
