Course Description

Explore the numerous Windows 10 remote management tools that can be used by administrators to remotely connect to computers to troubleshoot or fix problems in this 13-video course. Key concepts covered in this course include an overview of Windows Remote Management (WinRM) and the components and features supplied by WinRM; how to use the winrm quickconfig command; and how to use WinRm to access and obtain data from a remote computer. Then you will learn how to use the enable-remoting cmdlet (lightweight command) to configure a computer to receive remote commands; configure a computer to accept incoming remote desktop requests; and grant remote desktop access to users on a PC. Next, learners are shown how to change the listening port for remote desktop on a computer; differentiate between supported and unsupported Windows versions and editions as they relate to remote desktop clients; and use the Windows Remote Assistance tool. Finally, learn to use the Quick Assist tool to provide remote assistance; and learn the Remote Desktop Connection, and Windows Remote Assistance tool. This is one course in a series to help learners prepare for the MD-100: Windows 10 certification exam.
