Course Description

For IT professionals pursuing a job role that involves advanced VMware vSphere management, or those pursuing the VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2021 certification, this course will introduce you to installation, configuration, and management skills you require. You'll first learn the basic concepts of virtualization when using VMware vSphere ESXi7. You'll explore vSphere and how it relates to the Software Defined Data Center and the cloud infrastructure necessary to support virtualized infrastructure. You'll learn about the elements associated with the ESXi host architecture needed to deploy and manage one or more ESXi hosts as part of your enterprise virtualization solution. Finally, you'll examine how to install an ESXi host using nested virtualization to create a virtualized ESXi Host. This course is one in a series that helps prepare learners for the VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization 2021 (VCP-DCV 2021) exam.
