Course Description

In this Challenge Lab, you will learn about port scanning and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)-compliant vulnerability scanning. First, you will use nmap to discover other computers, identify open ports, determine operating systems, and discover active services. Next, you will perform an uncredentialed vulnerability scan, and then you will perform a credentialed vulnerability scan. Finally, you will explore Greenbone Security Assistant (GSA) vulnerability scan results. Note: Once you begin the challenge lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or exit and then return to your challenge lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the challenge lab before you start.
