Course Description

Explore tools and approaches that can be used to troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) issues, including how to isolate issues and strategies for correcting it.

Learning Objectives

TSHOOT 2.0 : BGP Troubleshooting Part 1

  • troubleshoot a BGP route and access control issue between an edge router and an ISP
  • troubleshoot a BGP router where multiple routes are present in the BGP Routing Information Base (RIB) but not in the routing table
  • diagnose a route that is not being learned by a BGP peer by examining the router's configuration
  • troubleshoot a loopback propagation BGP issue where a route is not being learned by an iBGP peer
