Course Description

In this 11-video course, continue preparing for the AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design certification exam by discovering how to plan the use of Azure policies to control resource deployment and usage. Learners will explore different policies such as backup, custom, multifactor authentication (MFA) registration, and conditional access baseline policies, and learn about policy assignments and on-premises system state backup. Begin with a look at how Microsoft Azure policies can be used for cloud resource control, then onto configuring an Azure backup policy. Discover how to back up on-premises server system state to Azure; create a custom policy; and create a policy assignment by using both the portal and PowerShell. You will explore how to view the compliance status of assigned policies; configure MFA registration settings; and finally, through conditional access settings in Azure Active Directory, configure a baseline policy. The closing exercise involves defining the purpose of Microsoft Azure policies; assigning a built-in policy using the portal and PowerShell; and enabling an admin account MFA through a baseline policy.
