Course Description

In this 10-video course, learners will discover how resource tagging can facilitate Azure cost management and explore other options such as reserved instances, service level agreements (SLAs) and pricing, Azure budgets, Azure costs analysis, and the Azure pricing calculator, in preparation for AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design certification exam. You will begin with a look at resource tagging and how it can facilitate Azure cost management, and adding tag names and values to Azure resources. Then move on to examining the SLA the contract between a cloud service provider and a cloud customer and pricing information. You will learn how to enable virtual machine (VM) shutdown, and how to deploy a reserved instance. Next, discover how to create an Azure budget, so you can start to plan ahead for your recurring monthly charges. Learn about Azure cost analysis, and how to plan Azure costs using the pricing calculator. Finally, take a look at cost management scheduled exports. The exercise involves planning Azure cost management.
