Course Description

In this 17-video course, discover how to plan the deployment and management of Azure web applications and load balancing to address business needs. Explore App Service configuration, slot-based deployment, Azure load balancer, and Azure application gateway in preparation for AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design certification exam. Begin by considering configuration settings for web apps that meet business requirements, then learn how to use both the portal and Visual Studio to deploy a web application. Explore how to configure a web app custom domain name; configure web app service transport layer security/secure sockets layer (TLS/SSL) settings; and configure web app service scaling, and app service backup. Create web app deployment slots, and enable debugging for a web app. Recognize when to use load balancer traffic manager, and deploy a load balancer with the portal and a template. Learn about inbound access to back-end virtual machines through network address translation (NAT) rules; recognize when to use application gateways, and how developers can configure test environments. The exercise involves planning web apps and load balancing.
