Course Description

Learners will discover how to apply knowledge of linking on-premises Active Directory (AD) to Azure AD along with multifactor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and various sign-in methods, in preparation for AZ-301: Microsoft Azure Architect Design certification exam in this 15-video course. Begin by selecting the best authentication method to use with AD Connect, and learn how to use the portal to add and verify a custom DNS domain to be used with AD Connect. Discover how to download, install, and configure AD Connect; to modify AD Connect configuration sync settings; and to modify an AD Connect configuration to use password writeback. Examine how to configure seamless SSO and enable Azure AD combined registration. Configure MFA settings; turn on and test MFA for an Azure AD user; configure MFA blocking and unblocking; specify trusted IPs for MFA exclusion, and enable MFA for administrator accounts. Also, learn how to use the Microsoft Authenticator App and MFA to log in, and how to configure an Azure AD access review. The exercise involves planning Azure AD Connect.
