Course Description

Learners can explore the features and capabilities of Windows Defender, in preparation for MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops certification exam, in this 18-video course. Begin with an overview of Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), followed by a look at types of attacks and exploits that can be prevented with ATP capabilities such as exploit protection, application guard, and network firewall. Learn how to deploy and enable Windows Defender Antivirus; manage Windows Defender Antivirus updates and apply baselines; and describe Windows Defender Antivirus reporting. Review Windows Defender Application Control policy design decisions, its rules, and planning for Windows Defender Application Control policy management. Explore, enable, and configure Windows Defender Exploit Guard, and learn how Application Guard works. Then review system requirements and install Application Guard; view features provided when enabling Windows Defender Credential Guard, and enable it by using Group Policy. Learn how to protect remote desktop credentials with Windows Defender Remote Credential Guard and enforce compliance for Windows Defender ATP with Conditional Access in Intune. The concluding exercise involves protecting Windows 10 systems.
