Course Description

Windows 10 provides Microsoft's most recent features and security improvements. In this 13-video course, you will explore numerous approaches on how to upgrade or migrate Windows 10 and learn about upgrade paths, edition upgrades, in-place upgrades, Windows analytics, upgrade readiness, and User State Migration tool, in preparation for MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops certification exam. Begin by examining some Windows 10 upgrade paths and how to downgrade Windows 10 to a previous version, such as Windows 7/8.1. Then study Windows 10 edition upgrades; see how to perform manual upgrade of Windows 10 by entering a new product key; perform an upgrade with the changepk.exe command line tool; and upgrade an edition of Windows 10 with Microsoft Store. Next, learn what actions to take when a license expires for volume license customers; perform an in-place upgrade with Windows 10; and add a Windows Analytics solution (Upgrade Readiness, Update Compliance) in the Azure portal. Use Upgrade Readiness to manage Windows upgrades, and learn how to use User State Migration tool. The closing exercise involves upgrading Windows 10.
