IBM BigInsights allows organizations to manage and analyze big data from various sources. It helps to process and analyze the volume and variety of data that is created and collected every day. In this course, you will learn how to use BigSheets to analyze data, how to use Big SQL to query and analyze data, and analyze data using BigInsights Text Analytics. The course also covers using Big R to analyze data.

BigInsights Text Analytics

  • start the course
  • recognize how to create a text analytics project, add documents, and use and customize a prebuilt extractor
  • recognize how to analyze input documents to identify information that will be extracted
  • identify the steps required to configure extractors and extract of features

BigSheets and Big Data Analysis

  • identity the steps required to create master workbooks
  • recognize the steps required to create child workbooks
  • combine data from two workbooks into a single data collection using BigSheets
  • complete the steps required to create columns based on grouped data
  • complete the steps required to view data in BigSheets diagrams
  • identify the steps required to export data from workbooks to a CSV file and a browser tab

Big Data Analysis and Big SQL Queries

  • recognize the steps required to configure an SQL script file
  • complete the steps required to create and run a query to analyze data
  • identify the steps required to create a view that will represent data from a query
  • complete the steps to configure and run an Big SQL query to analyze data

Using Big R to Analyze Data

  • perform the steps required to upload a dataset to the BigInsights server using Big R
  • recognize how to use IBM BigInsights Big R to explore the structure of a dataset
  • work with IBM BigInsights Big R to analyze data
  • create a bar chart to visualize big data with IBM BigInsights Big R

Practice: BigSheets Data Analysis

  • use BigSheets to create a master workbook and export the data from the workbook
