Course Description

Discover how to migrate web applications, SQL servers, sites, and databases to Azure using migration tools and services such as Data Migration Assistant, App Service Migration Assistant, and Azure Database Migration Service. Key concepts covered in this cloud migration course include: how to migrate web applications from on-premise platforms to Azure; the lift and shift approach of migrating existing .NET web applications to Azure; characteristics of the Data Migration Assistant tool that can be used to migrate services; and use of on-premises infrastructure for migration and how to set up Azure infrastructure to complete the migration. You will learn about Microsoft migration tools and services that can be used to simplify database migration to Azure; Azure Database Migration Service features; and how to migrate SQL servers to a single Azure SQL database offline with Azure Database Migration Service. Next, learners see how to migrate on-premises a web application to Azure, migrate sites to Azure using the Linux site migration tool, and migrate SQL servers to an Azure SQL database using the Azure Database Migration Service.
