Course Description

In this lab, you will configure security and permissions in an Ubuntu Linux environment, perform a port scan of a Linux server, edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file to secure SSH access, create an administrative user, create additional groups and add users to the groups, edit the /etc/hosts.allow and the /etc/hosts.deny files to increase security on the Linux server, and use Nmap to verify that the TCP port has been successfully changed. Note: Once you begin a challenge you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your progress. Please ensure you have set aside enough time to complete the challenge before you start.
