Course Description

In this challenge, you will configure the Amazon CloudWatch agent to collect logs for a website so that you can monitor invalid access attempts. First, you will verify that the web server is running, and then you will connect to the console of the Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (Amazon EC2) instance by using EC2 Instance Connect. Next, you will configure the CloudWatch agent on the web server. Finally, you will create a metric filter from the logs by using CloudWatch, and then you will review invalid access attempts by using a graph. Note: Once you begin the challenge lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or exit and then return to your challenge lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the challenge lab before you start.
