Course Description

Before a security practitioner can even begin to implement security controls and countermeasures, they must have a good understanding of the types and valuation of organizational assets, both tangible and intangible. Data exists in various states and different locations, and it must be handled and treated according to pre-established policies. Explore methods for classifying, prioritizing, handling assets throughout the entire lifecycle to disposition using this course.

Examine various aspects of the lifecycle: data and asset states and classification, information and asset handling requirements, data roles, and asset destruction and sanitation.
