In this Challenge Lab, you will configure and analyze Event Logs, view performance data on your computer, prepare management tools, configure the local registry, and schedule tasks. First, you will configure management of remote event logs by customizing the Windows Firewall, and then you will connect to a remote event log by using Event Viewer. Next, you will attach a task to a System event. Next, you will enable the default System Performance Data Collector Set by using Performance Monitor and display the resulting report. Next, you will create and configure a custom Microsoft Management Console (MMC) with local and remote focused snap-ins. Next, you will configure the registry to block applications from running on the virtual machine. Finally, you will create and trigger a task. Note: Once you begin a challenge you will not be able to pause, save, or return to your progress. Please ensure you have set aside enough time to complete the challenge before you start.
