Course Description

This 8-video course continues preparations for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect-Associate (SAA-C02) certification exam. In this course, participants discover how to improve application and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance performance through the use of Auto Scaling, Load Balancing, and placement groups. The course opens with an examination of how Auto Scaling can adjust EC2 instances, on the basis of workloads, and how to configure an Auto Scaling group, which depends upon your launch configuration. Learn about the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) used to launch new virtual machines in the cloud. Then explore the benefits of utilizing placement groups, why they are needed, and the AWS Management Console, which is used to create them. Next, watch a demonstration of using the graphical user interface (GUI) efficiently to configure a placement group. As the course concludes, participants examine the effects of Load Balancing on improving application performance and fault tolerance, before learning how to configure Elastic Load Balancing to improve app performance.
