Course Description

Discover the value of metrics in an Agile environment. In this 11-video course, learners explore the three types of metrics Agile, software development, and business and learn limitations and risks associated with measurement. Key concepts covered in this course include understanding the value for metrics in an Agile environment including used to measure productivity, determining value to the customer; and understanding how we do things in the quantitative manner over qualitative, and as tools to validate the outcome of attempting improvement experiments. First, learn about types of metrics in an Agile environment; learn about burndown and velocity; and learn about cumulative flow and control charts. Continue by learning about other Agile reports, including burnup and sprint/release report, and how to use Jira software to generate reports. Finally, learn about software metrics, including code coverage, static code analysis, and escaped defects; learn business-related metrics, including net promoter, customer satisfaction, and team health; and learn the general limitations and risks in metrics measurement.
