This course provides a deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol suit and routing in the internet. The course topics are: overview of TCP/IP, basics of IP protocol, basics of TCP protocol, Network Address Translation (NAT), Dynamic Host Configuration.
Learning Objectives
Describe the technologies and protocols used in the Internet. Analyze common types of network applications. Calculate network delay. Analyze TCP protocol and predict the performance of applications using TCP. Analyze IP protocol and predict the performance of IP routing protocols. Analyze basic Ethernet network architecture. Define the components of wireless LANs and underlying access mechanisms. Define the difference between SDN and classic network architectures and their pros and cons. Define basic network security concepts and devices
