Attention: November 11th is the last day to access FedVTE. Users may access FedVTE until 6PM EST on November 11th. After this time FedVTE will be permanently decommissioned. Starting November 15th, users will be able to access all the same learning content through CISA Learning. Stay tuned for more details about the CISA Learning platform.

Applications Being Accepted for the UWF CyberSkills2Work Program

Applications are now being accepted for the UWF CyberSkills2Work Program.

The UWF CyberSkills2Work Program, offered by the University of West Florida Center for Cybersecurity, is an intensive cybersecurity training program designed to help individuals launch or advance cybersecurity careers. The program provides FREE cybersecurity training and career development for eligible transitioning military, first responders, and veterans to prepare and transition them into rewarding cybersecurity jobs in our nation’s Critical Infrastructure Sectors. Graduates will earn digital badges, UWF certificates, and industry certifications to document skills and competencies.

CyberSkills2Work is funded by the National Security Agency National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE-C) Program and part of the National Cybersecurity Workforce Development Program, CyberSkills2Work.org, led by UWF. All costs for accepted participants will be covered by the NSA grant.

The program will offer two online training pathways in 2023:

System Administrator Training Pathway

Training Program Dates: January 16 - August 31, 2023

Application Deadline: December 5, 2022

This pathway is a great opportunity for those with no/minimal prior IT/cybersecurity experience who want to launch a career in cybersecurity.

Training courses include CompTIA A+ Exam Prep, Risk Management, CompTIA Network+ Exam Prep, Essential Cyber Defenses, CompTIA Security+ Exam Prep, and industry certification test vouchers.

Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist Training Pathway

Training Program Dates: January 30 - April 30, 2023

Application Deadline: December 19, 2022

This pathway is a great opportunity for those with some IT or cybersecurity experience to expand their knowledge and skills, and advance their career in cybersecurity.

Training courses include Network Defense Fundamentals, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security, Security Compliance and Auditing, and Threat Intelligence for Industrial Control Systems.
