Course Description

Course Desc: (Designed to help prepare for the Cisco Certified Network Associate [CCNA] certification examination. Course completion earns a Cisco-issued digital badge on the Acclaim credentials platform for successfully completing this course content.) Prerequisite: CMIT 351. A hands-on introduction to Cisco internetworking devices. Focus is on the architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks. Topics include wide area network (WAN) technologies and quality of service (QoS) mechanisms used for secure remote access along with the introduction of software-defined networking, virtualization, and automation concepts that support the digitalization of networks. Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: CAPP 498E, CMIT 350, CMIT 352 or CMIT 499D.
