Course Description

This course provides an in-depth view of modern border and transportation security including the technologies used for detecting potential threats from terrorists and weapons. Topics include an overview of security challenges, detection devices and equipment, transportation systems, facilities, threats and counter-measures, and security procedures, policies and agencies.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, students should be able to describe border security, the technologies used to enforce it, and the considerations and strategies of border security agencies.
