Course Description
This Introduction to Amazon Web Services (AWS) course will teach you about Amazon's secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow.

Learning Objectives

Our AWS online training course covers basic information including Free Tier of AWS, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Elastic Container Service (EC2), and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPN). Within the free tier module, you will learn what is included in the free AWS package and how to set up an AWS account and billing alert. The IAM module covers what the service includes, what the role of the IAM admin looks like, and how to set up IAM. The S3 section of this training provides students with the knowledge to successfully create an S3 bucket, which provides scalable object storage for data backup, archival and analytics. The EC2 service provides virtual servers (called instances) for compute capacity. In this section of the course, you will learn to create your first instance, use putty for your instance, and how to automate the EC2 bootstrap. In the VPC module you will learn to create a custom virtual network. The Introduction to AWS course is 3 hours and 27 minutes of clock time for the above modules. Upon finishing the course, you will have earned 4 CEU/CPE and you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
