Course Description

This course will cover classification of threats and vulnerabilities. Students will use hands-on labs and assignments to understand the nature of the vulnerability and discover ways to exploit those vulnerabilities. Students will use the knowledge of the vulnerability to perform a threat analysis.

Learning Objectives

  • Categorize identified vulnerabilities based on severity, impact and class of vulnerability in order to prioritize remediation
  • Determine approaches to exploiting a particular vulnerability once identified
  • Recommend mitigations or remediation for identified vulnerabilities
  • Compare different remediation possibilities in order to propose a strategy for addressing the vulnerabilities and a prioritization order
