This course will cover classification of threats and vulnerabilities. Students will use hands-on labs and assignments to understand the nature of the vulnerability and discover ways to exploit those vulnerabilities. Students will use the knowledge of the vulnerability to perform a threat analysis.
Learning Objectives
- Categorize identified vulnerabilities based on severity, impact and class of vulnerability in order to prioritize remediation
- Determine approaches to exploiting a particular vulnerability once identified
- Recommend mitigations or remediation for identified vulnerabilities
- Compare different remediation possibilities in order to propose a strategy for addressing the vulnerabilities and a prioritization order
