The security testing course will cover black, white and gray box testing in the context of security. This will include coverage of penetration testing and security assessments as well as software testing.
Learning Objectives
- Compare the advantages of black box versus white box in order to recommend a method for a given situation
- Evaluate documentation and requirements in order to develop a security test plan
- Identify and document potential software vulnerabilities by performing the testing identified in the security test plan
- Recommend remediation and mitigations as a result of vulnerability identification during testing
