Operations management integrates systems administration with security policy requirements and the health of the overall network. This includes system and networking monitoring. There is also a need for network-wide management of multiple platforms. This course covers different aspects of operating an enterprise network in a secure fashion, including coverage of intrusion detection systems, anti-virus systems, security information and event management. Patching, change control, identity and access management are all covered in this course.
Learning Objectives
- Develop a coherent vulnerability management plan across an enterprise of multiple operating systems and document the plan.
- Formulate a plan for minimizing the impact of malware on an enterprise network.
- Explain the need for a unified system and network monitoring platform across all systems then propose a system to accomplish that goal
- Select an event management platform based on technical and business needs
