Ethics in Information Technology is designed to educate existing and future IT professionals on the impact ethical issues play in the use of information technology in the modern world. The course discusses the ethical responsibilities of IT professionals. Students will gain a foundation in ethical decision making.
Learning Objectives
- A. review major ethical theories as they pertain to information and communication technologies;
- B. apply theories of ethics to case situations in the context of organizational use of information technology; and
- C. engage with fellow students in a learning environment centered on ethics and ethical decision making.
