Did you know the NICE Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework) version 2.0.0 was recently released?
The NICE Framework establishes a standard approach and common language for describing cybersecurity work and learner capabilities. The NICE Framework seeks to improve how to identify, recruit, develop, and retain cyber talent. NICE Framework Components include Work Role Categories, Work Roles, Competency Areas, and Task, Knowledge, and Skill (TKS) statements as well as the relationships between those elements.
The following is a summary of updates that were made in version 2.0.0 of the NICE Framework data:

Work Role Categories
- Removal of two Work Role Categories and the Work Roles contained in them. Note these can now be found in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF). Affected Categories:

Administrative Updates:
- Fixed typos and spelling errors
- Addition of new and removal of duplicate/redundant TKS statements (111 statements added, 275 statements removed)
NICCS is currently in the process of updating the tools and information throughout the website to reflect these changes. Please note that the interactive version of the NICE Framework, NICE Framework Mapping Tool, NICCS Education & Training Catalog, Cyber Career Pathways Tool, and Career Pathways Roadmap are still using data from version 1.0.0 while awaiting the version 2.0.0 updates.
