Next Steps for Cyber Students this Fall

Are you a high school or college student looking for more information on how to get involved in cybersecurity? NICCS offers a variety of resources, tools, and opportunities for students to have fun, learn new skills, and succeed in cyber. Find a cybersecurity degree program that aligns to your goals, apply for an internship or apprenticeship online and across the country, and join a cybersecurity team to participate in cybersecurity-related competitions and game throughout the year. Explore the resources below to learn more. 

Colleges & Scholarships 

NICCS highlights over 400 colleges and universities across the country that offer designated cybersecurity degree programs. Many of these schools also offer scholarships – up to $27,000 for undergraduate students and $37,000 for graduate students. Find two- and four-year cybersecurity college and university programs in your area today! 

Internships & Apprenticeships 

There are also a plethora of cybersecurity and IT-related internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students interested in applying their knowledge and skills to real world scenarios. Many of these internship and apprenticeship applications open in the fall, so be sure to visit the Internships & Apprenticeships page on NICCS to find the right opportunity for you this semester! 

Competitions & Games 

Looking to have some fun this semester while expanding your cyber skills and knowledge? Check out the cybersecurity competitions and games in your area and online! These hands-on activities and simulations provide meaningful educational experiences outside of the classroom.
