Course Description

Virtual machines are the reason for creating a virtualization infrastructure. This course covers virtual machine creation and use in a VMware vSphere 6.5 environment.

  • start the course
  • identify the minimum information and resources needed to create a virtual machine
  • create a virtual machine on ESXi
  • install an operating system onto a virtual machine running on ESXi
  • install Vmware tools onto a virtual machine
  • identify the differences and know when to use each of the virtual machine disk types
  • create a virtual machine disk and correctly choose its placement and type
  • identify the prerequisites and need for VM encryption

Practice: Creating a Virtual Machine

  • create a VM according to business needs using the vSphere Web Client
