Privacy/Legal Foundations and Ethics

Identify technical, legal, privacy, and ethical issues associated with information security in healthcare, and describe the major components of each pertaining to the storage and transmission of data. Identify means of violations of information security laws, mapping legal elements relating to liability to conduct and communicate issues of legal liability and security needs to relevant stakeholders. Describe stakeholders’ responsibilities related to the handling of data as it pertains to legal, ethical and/or agency auditing issues, Identify administrative and operational issues for information security within and between organizations, with remediation options. Describe how the type of legal dispute (civil, criminal, private) affects the evidence used to resolve it. Use Design Thinking to identify and resolve issues with privacy, legal liability, and ethics.
