Cybersecurity Exploitation Methodologies

A comprehensive study of the cyber exploitation methodologies. The objective is to identify the latest tools, techniques, and ethical hacking practices. Emphasis is on applying state-of-the-art tools and technologies in a lab-intensive environment that provides hands-on, real-world experience. Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: CST 630 or CTCH 645.

Learning Objectives

Learners will master the following Cybersecurity Skills upon completion of the course.

Demonstrate penetration testing on a simple network
Evaluate common security failures and the specific design principles that have been violated
Perform network mapping (enumeration and identification of network components)
Apply tools and techniques for identifying vulnerabilities
Characterize countermeasures to mitigate vulnerabilities
