Electronic protection (EP) and electronic attack (EA) are two important components of electronic warfare (EW). EP is the use of measures to protect electronic equipment from electromagnetic interference, while EA is the use of electromagnetic energy to disrupt or damage enemy equipment. EW training involves understanding the electromagnetic environment, countermeasures, and threat analysis. The goal is to protect one's own electronic equipment while disrupting the enemy's communication and control systems.
