This course gives you a fast start introduction to the most essential features of the Java language, libraries, tools, and design concepts. Class will cover data types, control structures, I/O and other fundamentals, and how they are expressed in Java, before moving into more advanced areas such as inheritance, polymorphism, interfaces, exception handling, collections, unit testing, database access, and business object modeling
Students taking this course should already know computers and software applications. It is recommended, but not required, that students have some programming experience, and can structure data, use variables, and flow-control statements, and write, compile and execute a program.
