Network Analysis for Cyber Ops (NET-II)

This hands-on, accelerated course, takes students from the basics of networking to a seasoned network navigator. Throughout the course students will be trained to analyze and determine the risk, exposure and to perform adversary profiling to better enhance risk mitigation and a defensive posture. Target Audience Students that are more likely to conduct incident response and digital forensics by applying intelligence to guide the investigative process.

Learning Objectives

The intent of this course is to develop a network investigator who is proficient at analyzing the entire picture associated with Cyber intrusions or anomalies. Students will begin with computer network fundamentals and will progress through advanced networking concepts. Basic networking concepts will be developed before moving into more advanced skills such as capturing and analyzing suspicious network data. Students will be engulfed in hands-on network forensic exercises designed to build their knowledge of both legitimate and malicious network analysis. They will be trained to understand the hacker methodology as well as identify the techniques utilized to obtain network access and persistence.
