Course Overview
Learning Objectives
Students will be able to: 1) Develop an understanding of the LINUX operating system including the use of the shell, the file system model, access control model, process model, and networking features. 2) Demonstrate proficiency using basic LINUX command line utilities including those designed to work with files, the file system, permissions, processes, and networking. 3) Describe the administration of human-computer systems including user, host, and hardware management and the relationship between a single host and the enterprise. 4) Demonstrate proficiency in the automation of system administration tasks using scripting languages including using the shell, specifically bash scripting, and Perl.
