Data Analysis- Level 2

Through this advanced course, students will learn how to control the entire analytic process by deciphering large amounts of data and effectively communicating the information they derive. This course provides attendees with the core skills necessary to handle any data intensive analytic project and generate clarity, insight and confidence in order to make sound and measurable business decisions. This course will also bridge the gap between team members that can often cause a project to be unsuccessful.

Course Prerequisites

This course is geared towards:

  • Functional Managers - building a solid understanding of core analytic methods will allow functional managers to interact more effectively with IT staff and analysts.
  • Business Analysts - moving away from ad-hoc techniques and focusing on core analytic strategies will allow for business analysts to effectively solve common business problems.
  • Experienced Statisticians - expert statisticians can improve their value in the workplace by further developing their business mindset.
  • IT Specialists - an accelerated data analysis training package will provide IT specialists with the core capabilities needed to properly integrate decision models with data storage and access environments and prepare various resources for data analysis.
  • Business Intelligence Professionals ? Reinforcing core analytics capabilities allows business intelligence professionals to successfully advance to more complicated fields such as data mining, machine learning, predictive modeling, unstructured text analysis and knowledge discovery.

 Recommended Experience

While not required, students are highly encouraged to have some statistical background due to the density of material and the fast pace in which this course is instructed.
