Learning Objectives

Students completing this course should be able to:

  • Experience participation in a team activity as evidenced through the completion of organized project task assignments and group project benchmark demonstrations.
  • Manage the individual and team project tasks associated with the design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting and documentation of the components associated with the network infrastructure as evidenced by weekly status reports.
  • Design, configure, document, test and troubleshoot a Windows Server Active Directory domain environment for a single domain, to include, file and print services, group policies, network browsing, DHCP, DNS and File and Folder permissions as evidenced through a VISIO diagram and team project benchmark demonstrations.
  • Design, configure, test and troubleshoot a <strong>company web site</strong> as evidenced through team project benchmark demonstrations.
  • Design, configure, document, test and troubleshoot a routed and switched physical LAN network infrastructure to include, static and dynamic routing configurations, IP Addressing with FLSM, NAT and PAT, Access-Control Lists, VLAN configurations, switch port security, and Inter-VLAN routing configurations as evidenced through a VISIO diagram, and team project benchmark demonstrations.
  • Configure, test and troubleshoot the physical prototype design of the routed and switched network infrastructure using the software simulation program<strong> Packet Tracer</strong>; as evidenced through operational demonstration.
  • Convey technical information effectively as evidenced by an team oral presentation as <br />specified in the course documents.
  • Convey technical information effectively as evidenced by the submission of a team technical paper as specified in the course documents.
