- Discuss methods for evaluating the needs, goals and information behaviors of different users of socio-technical systems (e.g. individual users, social groups, organizations, etc.).
- Apply appropriate methods to explore a variety of socio-technical issues or problems.
- Develop reliable data collection instruments and procedures.
- Discuss issues related to the ethical collection and use of research data.
- Analyze and interpret different types of quantitative and qualitative research data.
