Cisco Certified Network Associate II

This course builds on the concepts and skills acquired from ITEC 2750 Cisco Certified Network Associate I. Students will receive hands-on training and will be introduced to such networking skillsets as: advanced router configuration; Local Area Network (LAN) switching theory, LAN design, and VLANs; TCP/IP- and OSI-layered communications; Wide Area Network (WAN) theory, design, and technologies such as PPP and Frame Relay. Other topics include Access Control Lists, DHCP, NAT, Wireless, IPv6, and basic router firewall configuration.

  • Work with routers, switches and wireless devices to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Wireless LANs and Inter-VLAN routing.
  • Configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Explain how to support available and reliable networks using dynamic addressing and first-hop redundancy protocols.
