Ethical Hacking

This course provides knowledge and skills related to activities behind hacking attacks and countermeasures. Coursework helps students build defense mechanisms to protect applications, systems and networks from hackers. Security loopholes, as well as common attack tools used by black hat hackers, are examined.

Learning Objectives

  • Students learn to explain Ethical Hacking and its importance to security, describe different malware and intruder attacks, describe footprinting and methods of gathering information, examine network scanning and the associated tools, examine numeration tools and techniques, describe web server hacking and its associated tools, describe wireless hacking and its associated tools, explore the application of cryptography, and survey network protection systems.
