Learning Objectives

  • Students learn to describe the activities and goals of an Incident Response and how these goals can impact businesses, use of applicable frameworks when planning for a cybersecurity program, explore the legal and compliance aspects of an incident, analyze and investigate security incident data to identify attackers, causality, data losses and damages to a business, perform post incident investigations for continuous improvements, evaluate network and forensics techniques for causes of incidents, and report and communicate incidents to others within and outside the organization.
