Course Description

This course will focus on Windows, Linux and OSX operating systems security. You will acquire knowledge and skills needed to perform audit assessments and implement an operating system security.

Learning Objectives

  • Demonstrate proficiency in network infrastructures and protecting data
  • Describe major categories of computer crimes and attacks
  • Develop and implement institutional polices
  • Explain systems security administration role and its responsibility through risk analysis, emergency response and business recovery
  • Execute audit analysis
  • Define business data communication and how to secure data transmission via the enterprise network
  • Define hacking as a means of proactive deterrence
  • Recognize software viruses and infectious codes that impact the reliable operations of systems and networks
