Course Description

Ransomware is an evolving threat to the cyber and data security of many organizations. This course provides learners with an understanding of the role identifying and protecting assets plays in protecting against ransomware attacks.



Learning Objectives


On successful completion of this course, learners should have the knowledge and skills required to:


  • Understand the attacker's mindset and the ransomware "Business Model"

  • Implement network segregation; anti-virus; and endpoint security

  • Create a system shutdown policy; using Virtual Machines (VMs) for instant backup restore (snapshotting) and recovery of business processes and assets
