In this course, students will explore the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items dubbed the Internet of Things. Students will learn about IOT by making their own networked devices using Raspberry Pi. The course will focus on highlighting how devices interact, share data and affect everyday life by combing a mixture of hardware, software.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, the student will be able to: Explore current and potential future IoT capabilities and scope of application. Understand the security and privacy risks related to IoT devices. Build a practical and networked IoT penetration testing environment using Raspberry Pi on Virtual Machines. Experiment with data interactions between IoT and other networked devices using penetration testing tools. Implement best practices for IoT security
