Course Description
Introduction to cybercrime and computer forensics. Exploring laws regulating electronic evidences along with establishing the basis for gathering electronic digital evidence and artifacts.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the discipline of computer forensics, detail the process of forensic investigations, and identify the different types of electronic evidence
- Demonstrate different search and seizure methods, procedures for search warrants, and how to search a computer for evidence
- Articulate the privacy implications involved in evidence collection
- Conduct both a corporate as well as a cyber crime investigation to locate, extract and analyze evidence
