Course Description
Introduction to cybercrime and computer forensics. Exploring laws regulating electronic evidences along with establishing the basis for gathering electronic digital evidence and artifacts.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the discipline of computer forensics, detail the process of forensic investigations, and identify the different types of electronic evidence
  2. Demonstrate different search and seizure methods, procedures for search warrants, and how to search a computer for evidence
  3. Articulate the privacy implications involved in evidence collection
  4. Conduct both a corporate as well as a cyber crime investigation to locate, extract and analyze evidence
