About the SFS Program
The SFS program provides scholarships through qualified institutions of higher education to students who are enrolled in cybersecurity degree programs or cybersecurity-related fields, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and aerospace. Students identified by their institutions for SFS Scholarships must meet selection criteria based on prior academic performance, likelihood of success in obtaining the degree, and suitability for government employment.

Scholarship Components
- Tuition and education-related fees (excluding items such as meal plans, housing, parking, etc.) for undergraduate and graduate studies for up to three years
- Academic-year stipends of $27,000 per year for undergraduate students and $37,000 per year for graduate students
- Professional allowance of $6,000 for SFS Job Fairs and other travel, professional certifications, and other academic necessities
- Virtual and in-person job fairs in Washington, D.C.
- Post-graduation government service requirement for a period equivalent to the length of scholarship

The SFS program includes scholarship and capacity-building components that attract high-caliber students from institutions designated by the National Security Agency (NSA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and CISA as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) and selected by NSF through a competitive process.
The program provides funding to universities to award support for up to three years to individual students in the general area of cybersecurity or cybersecurity related fields for undergraduate or graduate studies.

SFS Hall of Fame

The SFS Hall of Fame recognizes the accomplishments of SFS alumni working as cybersecurity professionals for a Federal or SLTT government organization, or those working in the private industry after completing their service requirement.
