Course Description

In this course, students will draw on what they learned from IA7020 to dig deeper into information security by evaluating information security case studies and produce real-life deliverables.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, the student will be able:

  • Explore several major IT security threats as well as some of the legal, social, and ethical issues associated with information systems
  • Describe how application software can support personal, workgroup, and enterprise business objectives
  • Identify the many benefits and challenges associated with the continued growth of e-commerce and m-commerce Describe why project management is considered to be a core competency for many organizations
  • Outline actions that must be taken in the event of a successful security intrusion
    Identify policies and procedures useful in eliminating waste and mistakes
