Course Description

MIDS JTRS Training, Planning, Design, Operations and Maintenance is a three (3) day training course focusing on MIDS JTRS planning, network design, and operations. Participants will learn about Link 16 and MIDS JTRS terminals focusing on new features, using SDR and software-programmable radio, JTRS advanced networking waveforms such as Joint Aerial Network - Tactical Edge (JAN-TE) requirements. MIDS JTRS replaces legacy radios and can reduce the need for excessive spares and logistics support. MIDS JTRS is a 4-channel radio designed to run complex Link 16 waveform and up to three additional communication protocols such as the Airborne Networking Waveform (ANW).
